Taylor Moton Returns to Practice After Blood Clot Recovery

Carolina Panthers right tackle Taylor Moton recently shared his experience of being diagnosed with multiple blood clots in his lung and undergoing recovery. Sidelined since late June, Moton’s health issues began with him coughing up blood after attending a youth football camp. This incident led to hospital visits where the blood clots were detected. As a result, Moton was placed on a regime of blood thinners, restricting his ability to participate in contact sports during his recovery.

Moton, who is the longest tenured non-specialist player on the Panthers’ roster, missed the entire training camp and preseason. He stepped back into practice for the first time this season on Tuesday. Despite the challenges, the 32-year-old lineman expressed his eagerness to rejoin the team, focusing on staying hydrated and moving regularly as preventative measures against future clots. Moton participated in team practices again, though it remains uncertain if he will play in the upcoming Week 6 game against the Eagles in Philadelphia.
